Hi! I'm Derek Pepple. I am a recent graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I am interested in 3D computer graphics and animation, robotics, embedded software, AI, and a whole lot more. You can see some of my artistic and technical work on this page.
At Notre Dame I was involved with the Notre Dame Robotic Football Club as well as Enable-ND. I also worked as a Teaching Assistant for CSE 40655 Technical Concepts of Visual Effects and CSE 40777 Advanced Concepts of Visual Effects.
Last summer (2023), I worked as a Research Assistant under Dr. Peter M. Kogge as a part of the E-SURE Summer REU Program. My research involved adapting non-traditional computer architectures for use in heterogeneous computing systems, particularly CUDA GPUs. You can read our research paper here.
During the summer of 2022, I also interned at Panasonic North America as a Software Engineer for Panasonic Connect's Toughbook divison.
